This charming wedding was set amidst the vineyards at Murrieta’s Well in Livermore. I loved their yellow/grey color palette and creative details like the burlap “just married” banner and the classic, vintage Mercedes. The guests had a lot of fun with the adorable hand made props of mustaches, kisses and bow ties for some silly polaroid snaps. I must say Paola and Greg’s wedding was the party of the summer and a quintessential celebration of classic San Francisco! The notorious freezing fog rolled in but surely didn’t slow anyone down- the laughter just didn’t stop. Paola was gorgeous in her stunning Maggie Sottero gown topped for the chill with a vintage fur stole. Her and her bridesmaids elegance contrasted with the rustic charm of the Presidio Log Cabin was perfect. Awesome DJ Bobby rocked the house all night with his outstanding record collection. There were maracas to shake to the Latin rhythms and surfer themed cupcakes garnished with shark fins and severed hands- truly hilarious. The wedding was a smash hit from start to finish with every charming detail hand made by Paola and her family. I loved photographing all the creativity and fun but especially the steamy love between this joyful pair- it was absolutely infectious. Congratulations!

The beautiful Arista Winery in Healdsburg was the backdrop for Phil and Amanda’s absolutely lovely wedding. Arista is an intimate winery set amidst oak trees, vineyards and elegantly manicured gardens. We loved shooting here and especially capturing the effusive love between Phil and Amanda. We were all blessed by their radiant glow for each other. The toasts were truly memorable – some of the most emotional, funny and heartfelt of any I’ve ever heard. What extraordinary people you are! We were so fortunate to capture this very special wedding and am so pleased with the vitality of love and life that shines through in the pictures.

This magical wedding was set amidst the beautiful oak trees and sunflower gardens at Ocean Song Farm in the coastal hills of Occidental. The rustic charm was the perfect backdrop for Anna and Cameron’s vintage decorations and antebellum style. Anna looked like she stepped right out of an old daguerreotype photograph. She fashioned her dress herself and styled it with an exquisite heirloom cameo of her grandmothers. So beautiful! The mood was full of fun and laughter, good friends and good food. At the end of the night they were serenaded by the Port City Jazz Band that plays great New Orleans style jazz and we were even visited by the local skunk and a family of foxes! Congrats to this wonderful couple!

Recipe for a fun and over the top cute engagement photo session: An adorable and stylish couple in love (check), cheerful yellow bow tie (check), giant lollipop (check), silly mustaches (check) and a darling pup (check) all set in classic San Francisco locations at the Palace of Fine Arts and the Presidio . Engagement photography can be so much fun it’s ridiculous. I love how this session came together and can’t wait to capture their upcoming wedding at Murrieta’s Well, a lovely countryside venue in Livermore complete with vineyards and a charming barn. We’ll see if they’ve decided to continue the mustache theme…

What a wonderful coming together of these two warm and lovely people and their Irish and Chinese cultures. The view from the Brazilian Room in Berkeley provided such a gorgeous misty backdrop to the ceremony which certainly felt a lot like Ireland. Stand out elements were the raucous and lively lion dance and Hattie’s stunning green dress. It was such an honor to capture their special day and the amazing love they have for each other. Oooh did we have fun creating pictures for this session! Berkeley unfolded her magic and provided the perfect backdrop with these wonderful locations. I just couldn’t have been happier with how they framed Paola and Greg’s style and spontaneity. It’s easy to see that this couple brings the party wherever they go and I loved capturing their infectious espiritu festivo. No doubt the upcoming wedding will have the same spicy, joyful flavor.
